Who we are ?

FAR was born out of the mind and will of Pierre Thomas in 1994. First as high-end designer and manufacturer of passive systems.
Then the will of listening experience improvement led to design and manufacture of active systems, to better match the specific needs of our acoustic designs and drivers, as well as opening a room acoustics division, to act on the monitoring environment.
As the workflow evolved, FAR kept up to date, implementing the latest digital technologies, designing DSP systems that could fine tune good monitors into well designed spaces.
TODAY :
The law of physycs have not yet been modified by all the technoligical progress, all the numerical audio world tools, and the listening environment, including the monitors, is still the biggest source of distortion, affecting audio production at all stages. This is our main focus, closely followed by ergonomics, cost, and multi use.
